Roethke’s  beautiful words woke me from a weary tiredness this Tuesday;  Inspiring me to share this quote.

Both photographs  are  revealing their truth.

 

The first first shows the drooping fatigue and tired, worn out appearance of the rose.

The second reveals a much brighter Light.  The floral stars are standing stronger, bright and shining.  Crisp and sharply  defined edges, lead us to believe… they have indeed “kept the light.”
